Team roles

Ordamo has three roles. The owner sees everything, including the numbers. Sales sells and talks to clients — orders, customers, the client price and the order page — and never sees your costs or your margin. Production sees costs, batches and production expenses, and never sees what the client was charged. The split is a permission matrix rather than a setting per screen, and an unknown or missing role is given nothing at all.

How it goes

01

Invite the teammate by email

From Settings → Team. They get their own login rather than sharing yours.

02

Choose the role as you invite

The role is the whole decision — there is nothing else to configure afterwards, and nothing per screen to remember to switch off.

03

Change it whenever the job changes

A role can be changed later and takes effect the next time they load a screen.

Read straight out of the product's own permission matrix, so this table cannot disagree with what a teammate actually sees.

Owner

Full access, including your numbers.

Sales

Sells and talks to clients. Never sees your costs or margin.

Production

Costs, batches and production expenses, but never the client price.

What it changes elsewhere

The part you cannot discover by clicking, and the reason most of these questions get asked twice.

What the teammate can see, everywhere at once

The role decides screens, figures and actions together. A salesperson does not see a costs column with the numbers blanked out — the column is not there.

Who can send a customer an order page

Owners and sales can. Production cannot, because the page carries the client price.

Who can delete an order

Owners and sales. Production can work on an order and cannot remove it.

What it doesn't do

Named here, so you find out now rather than in week two.

No custom roles

Three, and they are the three a small workshop actually has. A fourth shape means choosing the closest of these.

No per-customer access

A role is workspace-wide. There is no way to give a salesperson one set of clients and hide the rest.

No read log

You can see what was changed, not what was looked at.

Questions

Can I hide my margin from the person who sells?

That is the default. Sales carries orders, customers, the client price and the order page; costs, margin and financials are not part of the role at all, so there is nothing to switch off.

Can the workshop see what the client paid?

No. Production sees costs, batches and production expenses. The client price is not among its permissions, which is usually the right way round when a run is made by contractors.

Can my accountant have a login?

They can, as an owner, which gives them everything. If that is more than you want them to have, the CSV exports are the narrower answer: orders, income and expenses, from the screens themselves.
