shopVOX says custom manufacturing on its own tin, and it means it in a specific way: a sign or print shop that quotes a job, takes a down payment, schedules it on a job board, shows the customer proofs in a portal and invoices at the end. Those are four of the jobs Ordamo does, done for one industry and priced for a shop with staff — $109 a month plus $29 for every user, or $249 plus $49 on PRO, with onboarding from $499. The question is not who is better; it is whether your business is that shop.

We make Ordamo, so we are an interested party. What we can be is checkable: written by the people who built it for their own furniture studio in Buenos Aires, every price taken from the other side’s own page with the date we read it, and their wins listed above ours.

The phrase fits a sign shop cutting vinyl to order and a print shop running a hundred shirts — a floor, a queue, a proof to approve. It fits a furniture studio taking three commissions with a deposit much less well, and the difference shows up in what you leave empty: the quoting engine, the proofing, the job board. The words match; the model does not.
$29 a user on Express and $49 on PRO is standard shop-software pricing and it fights the way a small studio works. The bookkeeper in January, the partner who checks a total, the workshop manager who wants a delivery date: each of them is a seat. Ordamo is priced per business precisely so nobody has to decide whether a person is worth $29.
Onboarding from $499 on PRO is not a hidden cost; it is the vendor telling you how much configuration the system expects before it earns its keep. That is honest of them and useful to you: a tool a two-person studio can start on a Sunday evening does not have one, and this one does not.
shopVOX will compare what a job cost against what you estimated, which is real and useful. What we could not confirm anywhere in its own material is the arithmetic a studio actually needs: one workshop invoice for a run of six, divided across the six orders it covers. That is the number Ordamo writes onto the products a received batch produced.

It depends which kind. shopVOX means a shop with a production floor and a queue of jobs: signs, print, apparel, engraving, with proofs approved before anything runs. If your version is a piece agreed in a conversation, paid half now, made by you or a workshop and delivered in eight weeks, the words match and the software does not.
Express is $109 a month plus $29 for every user; PRO is $249 plus $49 a user, with onboarding from $499 one-time. No annual billing is published and the 14-day trial covers Express only. Ordamo is $29 a month for the business with no onboarding fee. Confirm the current position on shopvox.com before deciding on the strength of a number here.
Direct rivals, both from $109 a month: Printavo includes two users and caps quotes on its entry plan, shopVOX charges per user from the start and reaches further into signage and job scheduling. If you run that kind of shop, compare the two against each other. If you do not, both are systems for a shop you have not got.
No. No quoting engine, no pricing matrices, no mockups and no approval step. An order is written down when it is agreed — a line, a price, a deposit and a date — and the customer sees a page rather than a proof to sign off.
It does job costing against the estimate, and that is a genuine strength. What its own material does not describe is dividing a single production run's cost across the several orders that run covers, which is the arithmetic this tool exists to do.
If the shop side is real, yes: shopVOX for quoting, proofing and scheduling, Ordamo for orders that wait and get paid in parts. The overlap is the customer's name and the agreed total.
For commissions with a deposit and a production cost, this is $29 a month and assumes no trade in particular. For stocked products, Craftybase starts at $20 a month and Inventora at $19. For a floor that genuinely needs scheduling, Katana is $299 before add-ons and MRPeasy $49 per user.
Export open jobs and customers to CSV, import the file as it comes — no template, the columns are read for you — then add each deposit with the date the balance is due and enter the batches currently in production. Start new orders here and let the open jobs finish where they are.
